Palm Springs Bachelorette — Full Itinerary + What to Wear

**FYI — Anywhere there is pink text below, it is a link that will take you to a website!

Having MAJOR post vacay depression as I write this because this was seriously the most fun effing trip. SO, I am just going to pretend I am still sitting poolside drinking margs with my my besties while I relive this trip through this blog post.

PS, if you're new here my name is Stephanie and I am a wanderlustin, fashion obsessed, spicy margarita enthusiast. Follow me along on instagram @sugaredstilettos to see all that and a big dose of my daily life… I love new friends!

I had wanted to go to Cali for the longest time, specifically Palm Springs, because it's known for being one of the most picturesque and IG worthy spots in the US. BOY did it not disappoint in that department. If you're a girly girl who loves pink and neon everywhere, then this magical little spot is for you. It's now one of my favorite places I have ever travelled too and I will 100% be going back at some point. I literally could not get over with how uniquely decorated EVERY SINGLE thing there was.

Before I get into the all fun details of my Bach I just want to give a special shout out and HUGE thank you to my best friend + MOH Kelly for mapping out and planning the best dang trip for me. It was literally me in a trip— margs galore, pretty restaurants and photo ops, hiking, and a surprise boho freaking picnic all jam packed into the best weekend ever. I also want to thank my whole bride tribe for truthfully making this the best trip ever. I have the best group of girls by my side and I am so thankful for every single one of them. We had SO many laughs and made SO many great memories that I will never forget. #girlsgoneknightly

QUICK SUMMARY OF WHAT YOU WILL FIND BELOW.. if you want to skip to something specific!

  1. BACHELORETTE HOME BASE

  2. ITINERARY

  3. OUTFIT DETAILS (everything I packed + wore is linked below for easy shopping!)

  4. PHOTO DUMP + ALL THE MEMS

1. BACHELORETTE HOME BASE

Let me just start off with saying… this house was insane. It had ALL the bells and whistles you could possibly want in a vacation house. We all kept saying how the house itself was one of our favorite parts of the trip because it was just so nice to get up, walk out the door, and lounge in the sun by the pool.

The house was located at the end of a cul de sac in the movie colony neighborhood and had stunning views of the mountains. There were 4 bedrooms (6 actual beds, so each girl had their own), 3 full baths, a pool, hot tub, fire pit, and it was in walking distance of downtown!

If you're looking for somewhere to book a house for a bachelorette or just a trip to PS and you want an incredible house that is in walking distance of downtown then this is your spot! You can rent this house by clicking here!

Here is a mini house tour video I made of the outside pool area! (CLICK HERE)

2. ITINERARY— What We Did + Where We Ate

If you are looking for an amazing bachelorette itinerary for a 4-5 day trip to Palm Springs then you are going to want to go to the majority of the places, if not all of the places, on the below list. All the restaurants we went to were SO delicious, eclectic, and they truly were experiences in and of themselves. Below you will find a breakdown of everything we did with pictures, of course!

WEDNESDAY

We arrived in PS around 12:30 in the afternoon and couldn't check in to our Airbnb until about 3pm SO we went straight to the downtown area with our luggage in hand. We stopped at a restaurant called El Patron for margs and tacos. If you're a spicy marg kind of gal like myself then I highly recommend ordering the roasted pineapple serrano marg or the lil mamacita marg!

After lunch we shopped a bit, grabbed a coffee, and headed to the house to check in! We hung around the pool for a bit then got ready for our first night out in PS.

We went to a restaurant called Eight4Nine for dinner which is located in the Design District of PS and was probably one of the coolest restaurants I have ever been too. It reminded me of Alice in Wonderland because each room was as whimsical and unique as the next. The staff was also SO friendly, which of course makes all the difference in the world when dining. I had the quinoa mushroom burger and the "Some Like it Hot" to drink (FOREWARNING— this rim was SPICY AF…. even I couldn't handle it and that's saying something!

We were going to head out downtown to Moxie after dinner which is a fun local bar (still sad we didn't get to go here!), but I had the WORST migraine. We ended up going back to the house and opted for drinks in the hot tub instead!

THURSDAY

RISE + SHINE — I don't know what happened to me on this trip, but the time change (which is only three hours from the east cost) REALLY got to me. No matter how late I stayed up the night before I was waking up at 4:30-5:00AM the entire trip. Needless to say I crashed when I came home from lack of sleep. Anywho, breakfast + mimosas pool side was quite literally the best cure. I don't know what it is, but endless mimosas with a side of Vitamin D just gives me life.

Now, let's talk about one of my FAVORITE stops of this tripAzucar. This little spot is where we went for lunch and is located in La Serena Villas. The best way I can describe this place is over the top boho chic (in the BEST way). This freaking place was incredible!!!

You can either dine downstairs or on the upstairs roof top deck called "Sugar High"… if they have reservations for upstairs, CHOOSE THE ROOF TOP! It's literally amazing up there and such a fun vibe. I think my girls and I sampled just about every cocktail on the menu and they were all top notch. I personally had the rosearita, spicy melon, and blood orange marg! For lunch, we all tried a bunch of different things and the food was delicious!

This boozy lunch ended up being a bit lengthier than originally anticipated because we were just living our best lives up on the rooftop, so we ended up skipping the door tour and botanical gardens and went home to hang out before dinner!

If you haven't caught on to the theme of the trip yet, which basically describes me as a human being, it's margs & tacos basically 24/7 because that's my favorite thing. For dinner, we went to El Jefe at the Saguaro Hotel which is known as the "rainbow hotel" because of it's iconic rainbow-colored exterior and interior. The Saguaro is such a PS staple and if you are opting for a hotel to stay in over an Airbnb/Home Rental, this would be my pick for sure! The aesthetic of this place just makes you smile. El Jefe is a tequila bar and restaurant at the Saguaro and is known specifically for their tacos and margs. I split the chicken and fish tacos with one of my friends and they were SO dang good.

PS. I opted to wear a hot pink tie dye mini dress (linked below) and had my bride tribe reverse it up and wear white. It looked so GOOD + I highly recommend doing the switch up on your Bach!

FRIDAY

Today was our first brunch outing of the trip because we mostly opted to hang by the pool in the mornings for breakfast + mimosas, which is ideal for slow mornings. We wanted to get a jam packed meal before our next activity so we went to Cheeky's which is one of the best brunch spots in PS.

FOREWARNING— they don't accept reservations so be prepared to wait a bit, but I promise it's worth it! I had probably one of the best bloody Mary's ever to start and the other girls got the mimosa kit! Two things I highly recommend ordering for sides are the cheddar scones/biscuits and the cinnamon rolls!

Okay, so this next one doesn't exactly fit into the "typical" bachelorette itinerary activity, BUT if you are up for it I highly recommend doing it! I personally love a good hike and pretty views so I was SO excited to see this on the itinerary.

It's called the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and it's the world's largest rotating tram car that takes you 2.5 miles up the mountainside to the top of Mt. San Jacinto State Park. You do need to purchase tickets for it and you also need to be prepared to lose service while you're there! Once you get to the top there is a mini bar where you can buy beer/wine and start walking all the different trail options. I think the hike we chose to do ended up being around 2 miles, but it took you to the 5 different notches and viewpoints. This was definitely one of my top favorite things we did on this trip because it was so much fun experiencing this with my best friends.

Fun fact— there is some snow up there!! Which is WILD to me because Palm Springs was like 100+ degrees. I am also pretty happy we picked the hottest day of our trip to do this hike because it is significantly cooler at the top of the mountain! I think it was between 60-65 degrees at the top and 107 at the bottom, if I remember correctly!

SATURDAY

Our LAST day of fun!! We went to the Tropicale for lunch and it was such a cute and fun little place. I feel like I don't need to tell you what I had for lunch at this point, but in case you were wondering I had a spicy marg and veggie tostados. This place had the prettiest drinks and the best vibes. PRO tip— get a picture in front of the infamous pink Tropicale sign out front!

After lunch we went and walked around downtown a bit and went to a random little brewery for a couple drinks and a tequila shot of course. Then we went home and my friends surprised me with the most beautiful boho picnic you could imagine. I started crying when I walked outside and opened my eyes and saw everything setup. My MOH booked it through Palm Springs Picnic Co. so if you are looking to have the cutest picnic ever on your bachelorette then I would highly recommend using them.

PS. PRO tip if you are doing this picnic at your house rental, make sure the sprinkler system doesn't go off in the middle of your picnic… because ours did and to be honest it's now one of my favorite memories from this trip. We were all dying laughing.

For dinner we went to an upscale restaurant called Copley's which is located in part of the former Cary Grant estate. If you are looking for a fancy dining option with an executive chef that has a 20 year culinary background then this is your spot! They have these mini tuna tacos here that are to die for!!!! It was the best night cap to our last night in Palm Springs.

SUNDAY

Hung out poolside until it was time to catch our flight #PEACEOUTPS

ALSO… pro bachelorette tip, pack these bad boys called the "Hangover Secret" to help avoid horrible hangovers! I drank one of these packets every night before bed and it definitely made my hangover a 1000x better. I would say I was operating at 80% instead of the 10%-20% I would have been! Use SUGARED15 for15% off site wide too!
